No doubt that China would like to tap into the Canning or surrounds for O&G. Close proximity to export and great for future W.A. energy demand and other Chinese investment. Kinda what FMG 'thought' about securing however due to cost blow outs etc. blah blah.
If it takes $100000 marketing to China (i.e. drinking Ang Jiu, Sake, Arak or Tapuy and having a bit of a sing-a-long), to do a deal than so be it. I'm just speculatin and lettin the imagination run wild.
