You still have the problem of port allocation. A slurry pipe could empty into barges (if there is no deep water facility) and then the barges can transfer to ship, but that is more expensive.
A slurry pipe might cost several hundreds of millions of dollars, given the length. If the water has to be returned, then it is even more expensive. The transport deal that would maximise our profits and those of our partner surely must be one with Rio - their railway runs next to our property.
