Yes, but what is failed to be mentioned is that dividends can be manufactured out of debt to push up the divid yield and hence the sp. hence mkt has sold the price down on the basis that future div will be smaller than otherwise expected. still a fairly stable industry and the divs are tax deferred which makes it tax effective.
