jamwolf, think you missed a point fro mrloon, he mentioned that he has had to move house 4 times. IMO that one of the hazards of renting, you get evicted for what ever reason so you have to find another place and move. If you can't get a place close by it also might mean the kids have to change school, can be very disruptive.
Nothing wrong with a bit of emotion when it comes to a home but if it's an investment yeah leave the emotion out of it
