speckman it's not about popularity thou Turnbull is popular but you need to ask is why Turnbull so popular.
Turnbull is popular because he demonstrates he is intelligent, articulate and a moderate when it come to politics. Turnbull also has an impressive CV which when compared to Abbott make Abbott look like an intellectual pygmy.
There is a lot to like about Turnbull, not so much to like about Abbott, so what if Abbott does volunteer work and has 3 nice daughters.
As far as policy goes I doubt Turnbull would keep the DAP and PPL wich even his supporters don't agree with.
Over all Turnbull demonstrates he is a very capable and credible alternative PM, I would take the risk he would do a good job. With Abbott you guys are suggesting we take a risk without any evidence he is anywhere near fit to do the job.
