Sometimes the simplest home remedies are
better then the concoctions of medicine.
To reduce the occurrence of colds and other
upper respiratory infections, I take an old
precaution: Cod Liver Oil capsules to tone
up my immune system. But I also get the
Flu jab once a year from my doctor.
Another heath precaution is amazingly simple.
At my age (75) taking a tiny 100 mg coated
aspirin tablet per day reduces the risk of
blood clots that lead to strokes and
heart attacks. Coated aspirin adds
one year to my longevity.
But why coated? My doctor says for long-term
use, coated aspirin reduces the risk of ulcers
in the stomach as the aspirin is released
further down the intestinal tract. Not
that I'm prone to ulcers, but why
not take sound medical advice.
Lastly, I take one Crampeze tablet at night.
It has drastically reduced Night Cramps in
my legs that had been plaguing me.
