It is prudent to live within your means and if you can't afford something better, then that is fine. Do what works for you. If you are happy with that, and you are happy to put your family in that position, then I am also happy for you....however, there are many out there who have accumulated more wealth and would not want to live your lifestyle nor put their family through that.
