I'm pretty sure both PW & Hopkins where founders of the phylomer libraries long before listing it just seems they've changed roles. As word was how respected and well received Hopkins has been by partners then it seems a very good move to put him at the top. Granted your concern with scientist as CEO but it's not a new move as it is scientist replacing scientist.
Only time will tell & still plenty of hurdles but I'm more confident about the future with the fresh resturcture.
