Here's one:
Shorters saw the dramatic increase in sp as another opportunity to profit from a retrace, seeing that any real news flow may not be a few months away. There would have been some that covered their positions at a nice profit, but others still saw opportunity to profit from shorting. The mentality is the same as people buying and selling at the top. What they (the shorters) failed to comprehend is that sector sentiment is a very powerful thing. The same sentiment that saw our sp dropped to ridiculous $1.200 level could easily turn around and bite them on the arse.
