I used to have a nuclear power statin in my back yard. Well, not literally, but just over the hill.
When we went back to Europe a couple of years ago, I though the turbines were quite majestic; a tribute to man's engineering skills and aesthetic design. For about three weeks. After that they began to look more and more like a plague, infesting the countryside and de-beautifying it. Then I saw what they had done to the Solway Firth.
A scourge on the countryside and the seaways. Nuclear is far more eco-friendly on the visual and audio fronts.
