time to clean up the game

At the end of every miner's announcement is an advisory that is comprised of a competent person's statement to say the information is overseen by someone who fulfils AusIMM's criteria.

OK, so it's a load of waffle that most people overlook. But... there is the JORC code that operators are obliged to comply with. Unfortunately at this desperate time in the junior end of the market this code is being ignored when lawyers, accountants, greedy wankers and others are marketing their way with BS to secure their next 12 months salaries.

It has got so prolific of late that genuine operators with good geologists are getting really pissed off. As am I. I'm writing this as an end point over beers enjoyed with industry people discussing this exact topic.

The issue needs to be addressed because when punters get burnt by the BS of the wankers they don't return to the market pool and it destroys confidence even for the good operators.

I think the solution is that AusIMM has to pick a fall guy. I.e. one geologist is found incompetent amongst his/her peers due to the non-compliant content in a public report that probably has nothing to do with him/her, but all to do with the wanker wordsmith who is trying to milk the market. That probably innocent geo should then be stripped of their AusIMM credentials.

So I'm thinking that the outcome of that is that no geo will want to work with wankers because they risk their careers. Hopefully then the content of reports will comply with the JORC code and the geos will have more control to release factual and non-speculative information to the market.

Frankly, the whole scene has become a joke of late and I could list names, but if I do some wanker will threaten me with defamation and I don't have the time to stuff around with that crap even if I would win and bust their arse with damages.

Not happy Jan.... on behalf of all the good operators.... it's time for action for representative reporting and putting integrity back into the market. We choose a free and capitalist society, and as it evolves it is supposed to get fairer for all participants, not become a get-rich play ground for non productive wankers.
