You guys are hilarious.
HFT has been around for years and years and years.
Sure, the software is now better so arbitrage engines are faster and more accurate but they still need actual trades to function and the algorithms just exaggerate long term trends.
Being a trader is a full time job and if your going to play against the pros, yes, you are facing an uneven battle.
You can still win in the ASX - Lynas are losing because they lack income, theres project risks and the price of REE has crashed.
I'm up on plenty of other stocks after I got out of Lynas. I learnt from my losss.
There is no reptilian conspiracy here to squeeze a few points off your speculative investment dollars.
