According to today's Operational Update, which served to regurgitate PetroFrontier announcements, the 2D seismic program has commenced.
I believe it's time to remind ourselves why Statoil have joined the party and are taking over operatorship of the leases. This is from our neighbour CTP's announcement today, and relates to one of their farm-in partners:
"Total said that they saw almost limitless potential for hydrocarbons in the Southern Georgina Basin. With around 300 metres in thickness, the right thermal maturity and high organics contents, Southern Georgina Basin could be a very large producer of gas in the future..."
Let's hope for a decent oil discovery first...
