The money that went to One Nation went into a fund owned by Hanson and two other One Nation founders. People who 'joined' One Nation didn't become One Nation members. That would allow them to vote. Unbeknown to them applicants became a Pauline Hanson Fan Club member with no voting rights in One Nation.
What bought her undone was she said (on her application for AEC $2.10 subsidies) that hundreds of fan club members were One Nation members when only three were. Hence her 'party' was not entitled to the heaps of $2.10s she got.
Hanson was (rightly) charged with defrauding the Commonwealth Government. She went to prison. Rudd and Abbott stole her anti-refugee policies but have not gone to prison.
