So I've checked out the STO preso and I agree , things like gas hubs and processing plants are most certainly visible . I might add that these very things have kept me employed for around 34 years :) .
But , am I missing the point ?
Dex suggests that gasfields are less obvious than wind turbines .
Then ( sorry , I forgot who ) posts an aerial view of a new gasfield which I think is not relevant . Further to that , SF provided a later shot of the field which kinda negated the argument imo.
So back to the aesthetics thing . Sure the gas processing plants are quite visible but given the area they serve ( as a percentage ) they are tiny. And then , there is the argument about the existence of other utility infrastructure .
Coal fired power station , Snowy Mountain Scheme , Oil rigs , Hume highway , High voltage power easements etc.
Which of these visual blights would you rather not have ?
