Well they would have to go back to parliament to get it through and that is extremely unlikely that they will go back.
In fact some are predicting that Dudd will name his date this weekend for the election which will be the end of August.
Plus even if they went back, they would need the greens and independents all on side. With none of them liking Rudd they won't be in a hurry to support his off the cuff policy's.
On top of that I think Abbott will try and make this an election issue for the Libs. eg we will save the industry and jobs that Labor wants to destroy and that the Libs would reverse Rudds idiotic proposals.
