Same can be said for re-locating old Queenslanders.
By the time you've transported, re-stumped, re-wired, re-plumbed, re-painted, re-roofed & insulated, opened them up a bit internally and a few bigger windows or sliders cos they are pokey ventilation & lightwise, new kitchen, new bathroom, on it goes.
Cheaper to build new, you get that special "feel" and aesthetics, but pay dearly to do it properly.
