I personally love the older houses with jarrah floors. I brought a partially renovated one in the Melville area a few years ago. The house was built in the late 50's.
The bad thing about the house it in the 90's some clown extended the home and added a large games room with a flat roof. Nothing but leaks where the flat roof joins the high ceiling on the main part of the house. I reckon these houses are fantastic and Malaga said they are in great areas.
I have seen several of the old experimental houses in the Melville, Alfred Cove area with bathrooms in the middle of the house. They need the bull dozer. Funny I say this now as I was extremely close to buying one several years ago to live in myself.
