First of all I tend to be of a similar opinion to Mitta - he did say 2 to 3 months ago - the shorts would not be covered before June 30 2013 quarterly and I it did not concur
However - as with Molycorp, after its last quarterly, which was not at all too great, but fair, the share price surged more than 30 percent and about a third of its total share registry traded. This for sure was short covering.
So - if this quarterly says things that are more than expected and have a positive spin going forward, I would suggest there will be a similar situation occuring as well
What really surprises me is this
Lynas is producing - share price has not moved
Basket price is going up - share price has not moved
Quarterly is only 12 business hours away - share price has not moved
Those willing to take a punt and purchase more shares could definitely benefit in the short term
