You really do get obsessed with topics you seem to know little about.

Has it never occurred to you that the "working poor" in the US do not have the superb welfare provisions that the Aussie "working poor" have and thus to suggest that these IR changes will produce some kind of equivalence is a thoughtless suggestion?

Further the idea that these IR work changes will reduce the living standards and wages of a large proportion of the Australian work forces is not consistent with the (generally) jointly held position that Howard is a sneaky scheming little so and so who will do anything to stay in office. If the latter is the true, surely the former is a ludicrous proposition. Howard and the Liberal Party are very confident that workers will be better off under the new IR rules and thus more likely to vote them back in at the next election.
