It's obvious to me that Les Davis will have achieved a lower cash cost base as he would have been heavily focussed on cost savings over the last few months.
I'd say that cost of wages would have been reduced to a degree as well as renewed contracts are negotiated downwards to reflect the lower gold price.
This is just a guess.
