interesting comments. I know England very well, especially the North West. Anyone thinking gas companies are going to have an easy time in that little country are in for a rude awakening. People still remember the effects that the Chernobyl accident had - my brother's well on his Welsh farm was put permanently out of action - so there remains a lot of sensitivity about environmental issues. And because it's a small country, the minute any drilling encroaches on the land of the gentry, that will be the end of it. There will probably be a few wells allowed eventually, but wholesale drilling over the potential areas? not a hope.
