Just a general toksave
A forum on the re-opening of the Panguna mine will be held at the Hutjena hall from tommorow (2/8/013) til Friday (3/8/013). Ex-combatant reps from all regions are in Buka for the talks including other stakeholders. So if anyone attends plis post some updates for us all.
On another note, according to a presentation that BCL did in Buka this week, they are confident it is technically feasible to formally re-open Panguna in 5 years. Based on the current negotiations and how soon BCL can open an office in Arawa this can be decreased to 4 years.
