Is there anything too sinister about this bot though? It's just slowly accumulating. There are brokers you can get to do this for you if you want, they'll buy in whatever way they think will get the best price, or whatever way you want them to. To me it just looks like one of those situations. It's a tad annoying but nothing, nothing sinister and nothing illegal. I'd bet it's just a broker accumulating a parcel for a client. At about $6 per minute it'll accumulate about $1,000 worth per week, and they'll also sneak some larger trades in here and there. I'd rather it wasn't allowed as it lets some people behave in ways others can't (without paying for the help of a more specialised broker), but it's all part of the game.
