I have some super in a recently established SMSF and some funds in a commercial fund which is in allocated pension mode. My wife is drawing an account based pension from our SMSF and I am in TTR stage, moving to an account based pension later this year. With a view to reducing fees etc, I am looking to move funds from the commercial fund to my SMSF. Does anyone know if these funds, once they are in my SMSF, are regarding as still in pension phase or are they regarded as in accumulation phase? This is important as it impacts on the amount of money I need to withdraw from the fund to comply with the minimum pension payment. I will seek professional advice on this but sometimes professional advice leaves a lot to be desired.
