ICAC's findings of corruption in the NSW branch of the ALP currently target a few individuals and reflect poorly on its administration.

Not only does that have nothing to do with Kevin Rudd, it has been a millstone around his political neck that prompted his decision to initiate federal intervention. Rudd is cleaning up that mess!

Before regurgitating Tony Abbott's deceptive mantras it's important to reflect on the realities:

. Peter Slipper was a member of the Liberal Party and counted Abbott as a friend when his position was made untenable and he abandoned ship. As yet no criminal charges have been proven against Slipper who was never a member of the ALP and who never voted to support it.

. Peter Slipper was tried before Tony Abbott's kangaroo court over allegations relating to $1,000 in cab charges. Tony Abbott is yet to be tried by that same kangaroo court for his $9,400 in travel claims that he had to repay.

. As for that matter of James Ashby's allegations against Peter Slipper that have already failed in court; the role played by members of the Liberal Party in that one is yet to play out in Parliament.

. Craig Thompson was also tried by Abbott's kangaroo court but may yet be proven as a vilified and victimised whistleblower against corruption in the HSU. Julia Gillard nevertheless kicked him out of the ALP. This matter may also come back to haunt Abbott in Parliament.

. Allegations against Julia Gillard have remained just that - little more than a massive misogynistic campaign of innuendo and smear. Yet another skeleton in the Coalition's closet for which they may well be judged as the real role of the Murdoch Press reveals itself in all its glory before the Australian people.

. As for broken election promises; since returning to the PM's role Kevin Rudd has done his level best to hark back to November 2007 and address other concerns that have arisen since then.

So to answer your hollow assertions and despite all of the mud-chucking; federal Labor has not been corrupt and no federal member has ben found guilty of a criminal charge.

As for deceiving mainstream Australians; for starters, Abbott's 2010 Election $11b black hole remains etched in everyone's memory.
