John you said "The revenue write downs would happen to whoever is governing... And the 11 billion is ON TOP of..."

The Coalition's 11 billion black hole is a theoretical calculation. It is not ON TOP of the ALP's deficits as the policies of the Coalition differed to those of the ALP and hence who knows what revenue would have been under the Coalition. Would the Coalition. have tried to spend their way out of the problem like the ALP has - who knows?

John do you understand the basics of flow-on effect? The policies of the government of the day affect the revenue of the country. One such policy - the carbon tax - is the largest anti-business tax this country has ever seen. Another - IR - realigned the policy from pro-employers to pro-employee forcing business to shift staff to part time positions evident from our growing underemployment figures.

John it is time the ALP accept some responsibility for these deficits. All I've heard so far is that it's the GFC, Howard's wasteful spending, revenue write downs, etc.

Truth be told, they are just bad fiscal managers.
