all those who have cut production are presumably being forced out by "Costs",guess the current govt in Australia
either did not listen or an alternate view might be they
crushed competition for market share .
FMG are clearly chasing volume to secure profit
FMS have a high quality product that should be cost competitive on the basis of shipped yield per ton for steel manufacturers hardly surprisng that rival producers are reluctant to provide transport .
it would seem the MRRT is just a camel carrying writedowns
creating profit for the giants of mining who might be in a better position to manage production and offset any impact the MRRT will have in the future.
