The press don't understand the process.
Once the Minister selects the companies, the negotiation process then commences which may take up to 90 days to complete before funding agreements are signed.
So if we assume the letters go out this week to the successful and unsuccessful applicants, nothing is binding until November.
Receiving a letter from the Minister saying you have been selected is not the be all and end all.
What matters is receiving a funding agreement.
