May I ask the question - What did Menzies do whilst in power? Nothing, nothing ...... nothing!
Menzies was a true conservative that sat back into power and rode on the sheep's back. No structural reforms whatsoever and the mess of the late sixties, seventies and early eigthees can be attributed to his government and the lack of vision.
Little John has learnt very well indeed from Menzies ....... do nothing, ride on fear and stay in power.
Keating did nothing whilst Prime Minister but at least he made significant reforms as Treasurer. The benefits of which this current Government is experiencing.
Hawke will go down in History as Australia's best.
