dodge, Quite a good point, and what you posted has an extension to any pre-CGT properties (I have a number I hold from those days). Each dollar of potential tax-free CG has a bigger bang for buck in your pocket with same expense profile.
Of course you dont get any actual profit unless you sell, but usually a bank takes your a bit more seriously when you have a healthy proerty portfolio.
I have always only bought property, yet to sell anything, Havent yet seen a compelling reason to despite the various gloom and doom scenarios spun by media and pundits to sell their wares to the public.
