Yes he did,after having said there will not be a GST under a government I lead,and lost eighteen seats in the process,this is why neither side of politics talks of raising or broadening the GST.
I just saw costello on chanel nine,say,there was no point raising the GST,because the states would just waist it.
However what he should have said,no where in the world/galaxy,where a GST has been introduced,has the rate stayed the same.
We have on tier of government in this country too many,and a complete lack of talented parliamentary candidates,wyatt roy is a classic example.
