Hmmm ... one factor here is that the US Fed is 'printing' by buying up Bonds many of which come from private Banks within the Federal Reserve system.
The Banks are supposed to make loans for development such as homes and businesses but instead are investing heavily in equities which has been the driver of the US stockmarket going whooooshka !!
Hence big profits for these Banks.
As the Fed signals a tapering of stimulus stockmarkets will ease as these Banks pull their funds.
