    Hi Plugged/ Fella's

    Great post.

As much as l am bullish on Kenya, commercial oil yet to be found offshore east africa and as you mentioned major oil discoveries to the north and south of Senegal and a fair while ago l remember looking at a map of the west coast of Africa it was littered with dots all the way up the coast, dots stop when passing Senegal coast, but dots continued on from Mauritania. These dots where oil & gas discoveries and l remember thinking at the time even my daughter could joins these dots, lol,( if only it was that simple, hey). Haven't been able to locate this map since. Maybe Dknow can locate this map?, it's was most likely posted up by Dknow anyway, lol.
With so much drilling activity for FAR, before L6 gets anywhere near the drill bit hitting the deck. L6 last cab of the rank . l don't believe FAR will likely to be around to drill L6.
Not one to talk to much about T/O's, but if Far strike big in Senegal then we won't be hear to talk about Kenya, imo. IF we are hanging our hopes on L6 one day then we would of had string of bad drilling results.

I though l cant wait to finally see Senegal drilled, big news coming either way good/bad is imminent out of Kenya with Anadarko.

I posted this on the PCL thread on the 27/07/2013

    Hi Dknow,

This is great news for PCL, thanks.

I have been keeping a close eye out for any news on Anadarko's kiboko well nextdoor. On the 18th of april, we got the news that the Kubwa well had oil shows and where moving on to the Kiboko well. So at a rough guess you would think they started drill kiboko around the start of May. So on that guess we could be roughly up to 88th day since spud and the drill had already been topset before they started drilling kubwa in L7. Barring no rig problems, or hold ups, this drill is taking her time. Fingers crossed.

It's now 16/08/2013 for those who have not checked today?

Kiboko well, water depth of about 2,500 m with a TD of over 6,500 m and from Anadarko's 2ndQ on the 29th of July, no news of any problems, just stated,

Drilling continues in Anadarko’s offshore Kenya Block
L-11B at the Kiboko prospect. Currently, the well is
drilling toward planned total depth. The well will test
multiple Cretaceous sands in the outboard portion
    of the Lamu Basin.

Have no idea to what depth kiboko was top set too, so its only guess work, but really roughly 112 days into the drill you would think if she was a duster they would have packed up shop by now and handed the rig over to woodside??

    Shovel.
