Balamara Resources crossing its fingers
Officials working under Dammipi Noupokou, Togo’s acting mines and energy minister, are expected to shortly announce the winner of a concession to develop the country’s carbonated phosphates. The Australian junior Balamara Resources has been seeking the deal over the past four years in Lome and fervently hopes to get the nod. Others in the running for the prize are Getax (India/South Africa) and Elenilto, a subsidiary of Israel’s Engelinvest. The tender is being supervised by Bird & Bird
