Glad you enjoyed it Frog. The model assumes waiting until the last possible moment as you mention. E.g. On the day the SPP closes i want the price to be above or equal to $5.39 to participate. KAR wants my money (to sell me stock) at $5.10 per share. I'm saying i want a premium above that price on market for the risk.
Essentially i'm pricing the SPP like an option, because really it is one.
