You are looking in the rear view mirror. Yup economic conditions WERE good but there is an oncoming truck about to hit us. Australia needs lower exchange rates, and quick as its core industries are struggling. The RBA has us on a lower interest rate path at last bit the distortions of the last six years have afflicted us with the Dutch disease big time. Forward growth estimates show growth is flat at best, and unemployment numbers we all know are rising. And unemployment is vastly understated - the real figure is closer to 8/9%. Working one hour a week does not make you employed, regardless of what the government would have us believe.

So in an uncertain environment, with overseas bond markets looking awful and governments all over the place looking in dire straits, yup, the grass looks a lot greener with the coalition than labor.

At least the coalition has a chance of doing the right thing to turn the ship around before it sinks in a sea of debt.
