I seem to remember that Bob Browne had a great deal of power after the last election that supposedly justified Gillard forcing her cash-strip-mining carbon-dioxide tax onto the struggling population despite widespread opposition and her repeated promise not to introduce such a regressive, industry destroying tax on Australians....
Bob Browne certainly seems to have been much more powerful than Murdoch as I don't recall Murdoch stopping Gillard's draconian and nonsensical carbon-dioxide tax...
