What sort of world IS this?

University of Adelaide about to bestow Honorary Professorship on Miss. Julia Gillard. What or, might I ask?

Gillard, alleged by thousands to be one of the worst Australian politicans of all time - in the eyes of hundreds of thousands of people who cringed at her every move this, the last thing she should be given - people who now live with the effects of the gross alleged mismanagement reign of Rudd followed by her (anyone got their new winter energy bill yet - heart attack material!) - I, for one am entirely gobsmacked.

Co-author of the mad Pink Batts scheme (which took 4 young vulnerable Aussies' lives - them unskilled lambs thrown to the slaughter of greed and profit and political ambition -), broken promises (there will be NO Carbon Tax) - the filthy personal defamatory lie, under cover of Coward's Castle, against her political enemy, Abbott - vitriolically screaming, (and worse, to plaudits from ignoramuses world wide - who will always think so, thanks to her vicious lie) - that Abbott IS a misogynist. Many Aussie women, she has convinced, thanks to her vile slander. who now hate him - and what for?

I would respectfully remind the Dean of Adelaide University, whom one would imagine approved (perhaps conceieved?) this bestowal of such high honor upon Ms. Gillard, that Ms. Gillard, despite her recent demise as a political leader, is STILL, as I write, allegedly, under cloud of various extremely serious allegations, pertaining to allegedly purloined funds which allegedly disappeared from AWU, in mid-1990's! (Ref. Michael Smith, ex Radio 2UE blog - who was sacked over his bravery of daring to criticse Ms. Gillard (as were other journalists) - extensive details of these ongoing allegationsn and realtive documentation of varied events, are to be had to read on his blog.)

Miss. Gillard, her former 'boyfriend', Mr.Bruce Wilson, and their associate, Mr. Ralph Blewitt (the courageous whistleblower in this matter - he having come forward of his own volition, and who knows he would be heavily penalised should charges eventually be able to be brought, (much documental evidence allegedly having disappeared, or being unable to be found, making bringing charges, ever, hugely difficult)- are all living under the shadow of these current allegations. Which is still a live invesitgation - we are told.

Like the ongoing Craig Thomson case, or the Peter Slipper case - these matters seems to have slipped into inexplicable low gear "go-slow".

I ask, should there, in the future, be any detrimental finding against Ms. Gillard, as an outcome of these present allegations, would this Professorship bestowal still stand?

Sometimes the "ordinary" man - or woman - get to ponder, at length, and often, just what DOES constitute true justice?
But they slog on with their lives, regardless, their good deeds unsung, braveries unrecognised, doing great things. Which no-one will ever know about. Because they are "nobody".

And "ordinary man" does not trumpet his "greatness" from the rooftops. Especially if he knows, from the life he's led, knowing the truths of that, himself, that he last thing he deserves are accolades.

Life not fair? You bet your bottom bippy it isn't.

Should such charges emanate from these still ongoing police investigations, based on serious allegations, and any possible future outcomes at law perhaps (hypothetically)
be detrimental with regard to Ms. Gillard, would such Professorship then be withdrawn and rescinded?

I thought Universities were in place to give people hope!
Hope for a better, more just and compassionate world.

    Seems I was hugely mistaken.

("But not always Seneca", I would have told him.)
