Polling suggest that Tony Abbott will be PM by this time next week.
But given the new shots fired across Abbott's bow today by Kevin Rudd you'd be well-advised to keep your hubris in check though:
"Prime Minister Kevin Rudd has vowed tax breaks for small business, extra help for apprentices and the creation of a new jobs-and-training super agency in a major election pitch less than a week out from polling day.
Formally launching Labor's campaign in Brisbane, Mr Rudd unveiled a raft of announcements centred on the economy and on securing 21st century jobs by strengthening training programs and protecting TAFE funding. ..."
But Abbott still has to release his costings and details of those great big cuts to pay for that profligate, unproductive spending on welfare for the wealthy.
Meanwhile the mood in Indi is strongly against Sophie Mirabella and the signs are that Cathy McGowan will get 99.9% of ALP preferences and most of those from other candidates. That may just be enough to take the seat.
Abbott may become PM but Mirabella may get the chop!
