Hi (bouhr)
I think at 70Mtpa they will need to build a second rail line.
SDL Rail Corridor Study was for a capacity of 50Mtpa I believe.
To have more capacity they were going to have to build a double line system using the passing bays to keep cost down.
Afferro and the Chinese would have to be granted SDL's Port and Rail Corridor to be able to build their systems Infrastructure. They would need to also be given SDL's Port and Rail Studies document files to do it.
That would mean that SDL was not a going concern.
Cannot see SDL handing over their Multi Millions of dollars Studies to others.
At present Afferro would not be a very good prospect to be looking to spend those billions of dollars on.
If there are doubts about the viability of SDL and its Projects, there is NO chance that Afferro is viable even with them being closer to Port.
Another Sino like Project in the Pilbara in the making in my opinion if they try to push SDL out and go with Afferro.
Regards
Westcott.
