The Southern Bluefin Tuna is the premium sashimi meat and used in many many other dishes worldwide, as a result is currently on the endangered species list. Making any successful rearing in captivity an extremely profitable business IMO. However currently this is not yet possible, last efforts by this company managed to make records in the lifespan of farm reared fish however when introduced into ocean promply died. They have since scaled research right back and are concentrating almost solely Yellowtail Kingfish which is a proven entity for them. Currently ramping up production. Perhaps after a few years they hopefully can revisit the SBT for now thou the kingfish is going to be the driver for this stock.
