Even Peter Costello has been sent in to bailout Sophie Mirabella. He's pleading with the community ro reject all independents - pretty insulting and arrogant stuff really.
As of this afternoon my wife received her eighth piece of mail from Mirabella and Co.!
Each mailout costs about $20,000 - some $160,000 thus far!
As for those television ads that have saturated our airwaves and all those campaign signs; the $300,000 spent in 2010 looks like chicken feed!
The local papers on Friday and Saturday may carry further damaging reports about the Wangaratta Council. Further adverse publicity in that vein would be a great big nail in Mirabella's political coffin!
It will be very interesting indeed to see the outcome on Saturday night and should Sophie lose I can hardly wait to see what she has to say.
