I fully understand the impact of the carbon tax! I fully support its purpose.
It's impact has been nothing like what Tony Abbott claimed it was and you can be guaranteed that it's removal will deliver very little to people like me.
As the alternative purpose to which Abbott will deploy our franking credits; I'm opposed to his rolled gold PPL that delivers welfare to the wealthy. I'm also opposed to measures that encourage humans to proliferate in a world that is already facing major environmental sustainability issues!
Your comments about company profitability ignore the reality that many companies have already moved on because of the carbon tax; reducing emissions. Many new businesses are well-placed to take advantage of a lower emissions economic environment.
Those which have not done so do not deserve to be rewarded for environmental vandalism; nor do those who choose to invest in them.
