Intended Change of Company Chairman following Annual Meeting
Nuplex Industries Limited today announced that Mr. Robert Aitken will retire
as Chairman after this year's Annual Meeting in November 2013. The Board
intends to elect as Chairman non-executive director, Peter Springford, who
joined the Board in 2009.
At the Annual Meeting on 6 November 2013, Mr. Aitken retires by rotation and
will offer himself for re-election to continue to act as a non-executive
director of the
Company. If re-elected, Mr Aitken intends this to be his final term on the
Nuplex Board.
Mr Aitken has been Chairman since 2008. During this time he has seen the
Company transition to a new CEO and undertake a strategy to strengthen its
operations and build market-leading positions.
'Now is an appropriate time for me to step down as Chairman. Operationally
Nuplex is in very good shape and the foundations to deliver future growth are
in place. Passing on the role to Peter following the November Annual Meeting
ensures a smooth transition of the Chairmanship. Offering myself for
re-election as a Director for my final term on the Nuplex Board enables
orderly succession planning to take place as a new non-executive director is
identified.

that he already brings to the Board. As an existing non-executive director,
Peter has a deep understanding of Nuplex, its global markets and operations
and its challenges and opportunities. With his extensive international
experience, particularly in Asia where the majority of Nuplex's growth
projects are focused, he provides valuable insights and advice which benefits
Nuplex.
'Having strengthened its operations and invested in growth opportunities in
recent years, Nuplex is well placed to deliver improving and increased
returns in coming years,' said Mr Aitken.
