    Glug, let's see where the budget is in six years...that will be the easiest and most accurate means of judging who were the best economic managers over the same periods of time.

    Receipts are not increasing at the same rate now according to Treasury as they did over the past 10 years. Labor Governed in the midst of the biggest mining boom ever seen on our shores, and still were broke.

    Bearing in mind there is no money in the bank this time as Labor began with, and the Coalition also have a massive interest bill to service which Labor did not have.
    They also have a huge illegal immigrant cost to service which Labor did not have.
    So before they even even open the door they have probably $30 Billion Dollars in outgoings that Labor did not have in 2007.

    I honestly don't believe any reasonable thinking person expected Labor to ever post a budget surplus if they were re elected, they certainly voiced no plans in their election campaign to pay back the debt or post any surpluses. It was only to borrow more...no austerity measures planned from the Labor Party.
