re: most watched sporting events tree hugger
yes love soccer, never played it though just like to watch it along with the other 50 sports i watch as a religion, test match cricket is my favorite, i think 1 dayers are sh!t and also love boxing as i love blood sports but cant partake myself due to football injuries
used to get paid to play aussie rules as a lad until i did my knee, tore 2 ligaments off my left ankle (did it for third time only 2 years ago playing touch footy, you should try it), smashed my ankle socket, broke bones in my left foot throw in the standard broken fingers, torn ligaments/ broken collar bone in right shoulder plus fractured skull and i think i know a thing or 2 about playing aussie rules,
you will also be happy to know my dad was a premiership ruckman until he did his knee (his fingers like mmost ruckmen actually bend at a 45 degree angle a nd d on t straighten) and another family member premiership ruckman/centre half back played over 200 senior games (6 flags in total in his kitty)
unkle played in a bag of premierships in the 60's
my oldest brother who i reckon was the best player in our family by far (quick big fearless) did his knee three times before he was 20 so i think it runs in our family due to our camkaze nature

as for soccer i think you may need to widen your horizons a bit tree hugger you sound very insular
