I was just looking at some old hardman announcements and came upon the following from an annoucement Ted made in December 03 after the Tiof West drill... "Reservoir quality in the Miocene sandstone systems varies depending on whether the well has intersected a channel centre or the more shale prone flanks of the channels."

I couldn't help thinking that perhaps as the salt dome at Labeidna might lead to shales being present nearer the middle of the structure where they drilled and the coarser material further out. The fact that Ted later on said they could accurately determine where the thicker sands (in the centre of the channels) are at Tiof from the 3D following calibration suggests to me they might also be able to at Labeidna, in which case Labeidna-2 (if indeed they do drill) should have the best chance of hitting the sweet spot.

Incidentally, Ted's announcement on Tiof 2 also mentioned the Jack Ryan was drilling ahead at 3300 metres at Pelican... wonderous days... 03 was a great year with 'lucky' Jack Ryan. I wish they'd booked it this year instead!
