Miles, the Palesinians could stop it all tomorrow, no today.
They wanted and planned this Intifada.
They renounced terror at Oslo.
If only they had a leader who not only could, but would, galvanize all their little war-lords, and gangs and stop the terror, issues could be worked out at a table.
Not saying it would be easy but issues could be thrashed out.
There would be no need for tanks and there would be no need for terrorists and thugs hiding behind kids, who throw stones at the tanks.
The tanks would not be there to have stones thrown at them.
Even so, you actually believe that when a kid throws a stone at a tank, he is automatically machine gunned?
If the ISraelis adopted the same "couldn't care less about civilian deaths and injuries" as your friendly peace loving Palestinians, there wouldn't be 2,000 Palestinians killed (of which over 1,800 were confirmed as being armed and members of one or other of the gangs), there would be tens of thousands killed.
Luckily for the Palestinians, they face a foe who is not as primitive as they are.
The Israelis are educated, comiited to their country, are not taught to hate (from textbooks paid for by the UN) the Arabs, but will fight them hard and even harder if the neeed is there.
One word from Arafat and this could all stop. Well maybe once, one word would have been enough.
This Intifada was orchestrated by the Palestinian heirarchy and now they are paying the price of their duplicity.
And the price they will pay will only go up.
So why wouldn't any normal person stop?
But then, Arafat is not normal. No normal person could have willingly brought such suffering upon their own people.
And for what? To go down in history as the Father of the Nation? (that never was)
He ain't a Nelson Mandela.........Even though they both have a Nobel Peace Prize.
