Only you and a Fox News mouthpiece might be the only one to make up something like that Thalweg.

The article mentions CO2 not even once, and the word greenhouse only once. The focus of the commentary in the Nature Climate Change Journal is on the complexity of the climate system and inaccuracy in all the current models. The final paragraphs conclude that the Atlantic multidecadal oscillation, stratospheric aerosol concentrations, stratospheric water vapour, errors in aerosol forcing, volcanic modelling, bias in the solar irradiance trend, predictions in transient climate sensitivity, or other episodes in climate variability not yet thought of, are all factors where the models contain uncertainty. It's a work in progress of very complex interrelations in natural and anthropogenic phenomena.

But, those who provide fodder for conspiracy nutters, like Fox News, just read as far as the title. Then go and find a cash for comment climate scientist at the local university who had nothing to do with the original research. Then write an article to peddle something mindless for their dumb-downed masses. Which then naturally, gets posted by some tin-foil-hat wearer on HC.

    Rinse. Repeat. Next article please.
